Preacher's Corner

Pastor Brian Loveness

This month, families around the globe will celebrate Christmas. For most, it will be a day whose meaning is simply confined to a celebration of family, friendship, food and fun. Gifts will be exchanged. Meals will be consumed. Music and pickup football games will be played. Toys will be assembled. “It’s a Wonderful Life” will be watched. And for most, this special holiday will come…and it will go. Parents will go back to work. Kids will go back to school. Trees will be packed up. Lights will be taken down. And that will basically be it…till next Christmas.

But for Christians, December 25th will mean so much more than that. You see, this month we will kneel beside the manger to remember the greatest birth in all history; the birth of Jesus Christ. We will remember that 2000 years ago the Son of God invaded human history. The TIMELESS ONE entered the stream of time to be born in a human body to a human mother. We will remember the TRUE meaning of Christmas; that Jesus left the splendors of Heaven to save sinners from their sins.

We invite you to be our special guest and join us each Sunday in December for a brand new series entitled “Unwrapping God.” Merry Christmas!
